Avalanche Battle Pass Season 3 Recap: How We Built Our Most Engaging Season Yet
Season 3 averaged more than 2x missions completed per player compared to Season 2—while matching our user base and tripling OpenSea mints. Here's how we got there.
Where We Started
Season 2 gave us a strong foundation: 25,671 players, 77,218 missions completed, and proof that the Battle Pass model engaged players and drove game discovery across Avalanche. But players told us what they wanted next: less friction finding relevant missions, better tracking for long-term challenges, and more reasons to bring friends.
What We Built
Building on the systems we shipped in Season 2—Playfull SSO, Shop & Salvage, and Pocket Playfull—we focused Season 3 on personalization and reducing friction. Four new features addressed the feedback we heard directly:
🎯 Mission Preference Settings Players can now select preferred game types and mission styles. Less scrolling, more playing.
📊 In-Progress Missions Tab Dedicated tracking for multi-session challenges like "Win 10 Matches" or "Reach Level 15."
👥 Referral System Rewards for inviting friends—driving organic growth alongside paid acquisition.
🎮 Expanded Game Roster 28 games total: 15 new titles (Pixelmon, Palworld, Arc Raiders) plus 13 returning favorites (Off The Grid, Spellborne, Castle of Blackwater).
The Results
Season 3 was our most engaging season yet. The features we built translated directly into the metrics we wanted to move—and the numbers show it:
